IMPORTANT NOTICE
In accordance to the Law RD 1155/2024, the New Immigration Regulation comes into effect on May 20th, 2025 introducing significant changes to current visa procedures. This may require additional documentation that is not listed on the current website and will be updated as soon as possible.
The changes in the new regulations for General Student visa are as follows:
- Applications must be submitted at least two months in advance of the start date of studies.
- The passport must be valid for at least one year. For all National visas too.
- Applicants must provide proof of having paid the registration and enrollment fees by the school/University/Educational institution in Spain.
- Health insurance must be valid from at least one month before the start of studies until 15 days after the end of the studies, or for one year if the duration of the studies is longer than one year.
- The student visa will be processed by adding one month prior to the start date of the studies and 15 days after completion. For example:
- For an acceptance letter - from October 1, 2025 to July 1, 2026
- The visa must be processed - from September 1, 2025 to July 16, 2026

The total duration registered will determine whether is considered a SSU or SLU.
Family members: Only applications from family members of bachelor or master degree students are accepted. . Furthermore, they cannot submit their application simultaneously with the principal; they must wait until the principal’s autorization has been granted beforehand. (NALCAP family members will not be allowed to apply )
The new rules for Non-working residency visa (Non-lucrative visa)changes are as follows:
1. Proof of financial means: Bank statements must show:
- Full name of applicant and address
- Full account identification. No crossed-out information or missing pages.
- Monthly opening and closing balances.
- They must include balances as of December 31 of the previous year and average balance certificate for the previous year.
2. Changes for Family members.
Family members who can submit the application jointly are:
- Spouse, registered partner, or stable partner
- Minor children of the applicant, or of their spouse, registered partner, or stable partner
- Adult children of the applicant, or of their spouse, registered partner, or stable partner who have a disability or who are unable to provide for their basic needs for health reasons
The family members who will no longer be able to submit their applications jointly are:
- Financially dependent adult children
- Dependent ascendants

It’s imperative that complete documents are presented at the time of your interview. Applicants with incomplete documents will have to make a new appointment and return with the complete documents
Arrive 10 mins before your appointment start time, any late arrivals will be asked to return with a new appointment.

Emergency Appointments:
Applicants who are unable to secure an appointment for Schengen Business travel may email the Business invitation letter from Spain to (info.sfoes@blsinternational.net )
in order to schedule a walk-in appointment. Spouse/Family member of EU/EEA can also email proof of their relationship to request a walk-in appointment. Please make your requests at least 30 days
in advance, Similarly Applicant applying for STUDENT / NALCAP visas who are unable to secure an appointment may email us theirs Acceptance letter from the University in Spain to secure a walk in appointment at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance. Please note, all appointments for tourist visas must be made through the website only.

Appointments must be booked exclusively through the BLS website. Please refer to the website for authorized service fees payable to BLS International.
Always request a receipt for optional value-added services available at our center.
The decision regarding visa applications is made solely by the competent authorities, and BLS International has no role or influence in this process. If you receive such a request (in writing or verbally), please report it immediately by completing the complaint form or by sending an email to antifraud@blsinternational.com.
Be cautious of intermediaries selling visa appointments under the name of BLS International or individually outside our center. All appointments must be booked through the BLS International website. Please refrain from purchasing appointments through a third party: this is a fraudulent practice that BLS International strongly condemns. As a responsible service provider, we make every effort to inform applicants to be wary of fraudulent intermediaries charging fees to clients for appointment bookings.
